Principal

Hello Glider Families!

I am honored to serve as your principal! I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and graduated from Reed High School. I earned two degrees through the University of Nevada, Reno, and an additional degree from the University of Phoenix. My teaching journey began as an intermediate teacher for ten years at Kate Smith and Silver Lake Elementary Schools. I then spent two years coaching and supporting teachers as an Implementation Specialist, followed by serving as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at Alyce Taylor and Hunsberger Elementary Schools. Seven years ago, I proudly became the principal of Gomes Elementary.

I am also blessed to be the mother of two amazing children. I hold the same expectations for them as I do your children - whom I love and care for as if they were my own. My goal is to help all of our students excel, grow into kind and capable individuals, and feel empowered to pursue any path they choose in the future.

Please know my door is always open. I welcome your questions, ideas and partnership as we work together to make this a wonderful year for our students.
